Form submissions

Review form responses, export them, and understand how submission data is retained

Every submission to a form is recorded inside Basker so your team can review responses, export them, and follow up.

Reviewing submissions

Open a form to see the list of submissions it has received. Each submission shows:

  • The time the submission was received.
  • The form it was submitted to.
  • A summary of the submitted data — typically the values of the most identifying fields.
  • The full submission — every field the visitor filled in.

Sort submissions by date or filter them by form to find what you need.

Exporting submissions

Submissions can be exported in bulk for processing outside Basker — for example, importing a mailing-list sign-up form into your email tool. Export options include CSV and JSON.

Use exports for one-off processing or as a regular cadence; for live integrations, your form's email notifications or a connected app are usually a better fit.

Email notifications

Each form can send an email notification when a submission is made. Configure recipients and the email template on the form itself — see Forms.

Notification emails are the most common way teams handle form responses in real time, since the email lands directly in your inbox without requiring you to log in to Basker.

Privacy and retention

Submissions often contain personal information. To protect that data, Basker:

  • Limits read access to users with the right permission.
  • Removes submission content automatically after a configured retention period, while keeping the structural metadata (form name, time, submission count) for reporting.
  • Records every access to a submission in your site's activity log — see Site activity.

If you need to keep a submission's content longer than the default retention period — for legal reasons, an open enquiry, or a paid order — export it before the retention period ends.
